Work with us at Vinterstellar

Work Opportunities

Software Engineer — Full Stack

We are looking for a software development lead for Leia, our easy-to-use mission analysis tool. The softwares core functionality is in beta testing and your role will be to lead the development to fully released product and incorporate more capabilities from this point onward.

Orbit and Attitude Control Engneer

We are building software that tracks what moves in orbit and flags what matters. You will be working with orbit determination in the intersection between orbital mechanics, mission operations, and intelligence.

Space Systems Engineer

We work at the intersection of mission design, flight dynamics, and systems engineering for commercial and institutional space missions. You will support our customers in defining missions, designing spacecraft architectures, and making the technical decisions that hold a program together.

Thesis Opportunities

THESIS PROJECT

AI for Electric Orbit Raising

Can AI replace slow iterative solvers in orbital trajectory design? You’ll develop machine learning models that predict optimal thrust strategies for Electrical Orbit Raising — faster and more robustly than classical methods.

THESIS PROJECT

Full GEO Mission Simulation

GEO satellites pass through many operational phases, but no single tool covers all of them. You’ll extend Vinterstellar’s in-house simulator to model the complete mission lifecycle, from orbit raising to end-of-life disposal.

THESIS PROJECT

Proximity Operations Trajectories

At 100 km separation, the approach path to another spacecraft becomes a design variable — and the choice of path can significantly affect fuel cost. You’ll investigate whether curved reference corridors can outperform straight-line glideslopes using Vinterstellar’s in-house HCW optimizer.

Vinterstellar is interested in bringing on passionate people.

We are always interested in passionate people, whether it is as staff, intern or for a thesis project.

So, if you are a talented professional, preferably with an engineering, physics or mathematics degree, have a passion for space and want to work in a small, ambitious team, share your CV and cover letter with the contact below.
